So lately when I power on space duel I get a loud static, no picture and the lights on the cp are solid not flashing. But if I power it down and back-up she's running perfect. Any ideas on what's about to go out?

Power supply is my first suspect. Just throwing that out there, my .02

Yeah, but everyone posting here has already read the sticky thread about troubleshooting boards which says to check your voltages ON THE BOARD first, right? ;-p

You know, I tell somebody when there car will not start to check the battery and you know when I get there they have done everything else. We checked and it is full of gas and lights come on (dimly) and its in park so what else can it B?

I personally don't know how to do that, but I apologize for asking my question...

set you volt meter to about 20 volts dc and put black lead on a ground some place and use the red lead to probe the corners of the smaller chips. One corner will be ground and other will be +. They are usually opposite, like if you were to draw a diagonal line across chip.

Usually the vcc (+) is just opposite of pin 1 but not always.

You may need a big blue, if that has not been replaced then do so. It's sound like it's starting to fail.
