Space Duel - Gravitar - Black Widow conversion advice?

What should I do?

I have a Space Duel UR, Gravitar UR, and the repro Black Widow sideart+marquee. Should I put the BW sideart on the SD or Gravitar? I know the Gravitar conversion is more authentic, but Gravitar cabs are a lot more rare than SD cabs. Plus I like the Gravitar art. The only difference (I think) is the speaker configuration.

I know this is kind of OCD, but isn't that the point of hobbies?

Simple solution, throw the repro BW art in the trash. Problem solved. Anything repro should be last resort. If Both space duel and gravitar art is fine, why destroy them? Black widow art is the worst looking fo the 3.

Haha..that's harsh. If it's the silk screened BW art from the original films, it's good stuff, but yes it's not original. I suggest you keep the SD and Gravitar original, they're both great games. Find yet another SD cabinet or better yet, get a reproduction cabinet, so you can build a Black Widow replica and not convert anything. Also, to use that repro sideart, there's a lot of surface prep/work if you do it right, so a reproduction cabinet would be ready for it. The BW marquee, control panel, and CPO have been reproduced. A WG6100 isn't exactly rare. It's just a question of how much $$ you want to throw at it.

I agree with this statement. I'd keep the SD and Gravitar original, and just wait til something pop's up cabinet wise to use the BW sideart on.

Yeah. I go back and forth. I want a project, and I'd like to rescue a classic. I have my eye on this sad sack Gravitar cabinet, but the dude wants $400.

Lately, when I get a lead on something on KLOV or locally it goes something like this:

me: looking for part X.
sumguy: I have X. I might sell it.
me: will you sell it?
sumguy: no, I'm going to hang on to it.

Gets old.
