Southern Ohio (and regional neighboring states) club/group interest?

Also contact information I suppose would be whatever you'd be willing to give the other members of the group since it will be like a directory. So name phone email any messengers etc.

Me and the other local guys are probably too far away to participate in this, but side bar time:

We might be in Columbus this weekend (pending the omnipresent chance of weather and family illness). Anyone having a kick-ass arcade New Years eve party and have open invitation? If so, I could start vacation a day early.
Man, almost.... I'd been planning on doing a New Years party at my place (you can see what games I have in my sig) and I'm about 10 minutes outside of Columbus. Unfortunately a friend of a friend said he was going to have a party before I could properly formulate plans, so it's not happenin this year.

So would you guys want me to setup our own forum? I also have 4 people into the list so far.

We also have the party up north on the 10th (this weekend)

Then February 13th at Arcade Legends in Cincy. http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=115890&highlight=arcade+party

In March is the pinball show and video expo near Akron.

I'll be attending the last two for sure, and possibly making the trip up north Saturday.

Bumpity Bump.

I don't know if you guys are still meeting up, and I probably can't bring much to the party, other than beers and chips... but I'd be interested in enjoying other people's arcades. :D

I'm am in Centerville, Ohio... a southern suburb of Dayton.

EDIT: I could also possibly contribute web design/admin/development if needed.

I'm in Dayton as well. Kettering even so we are right next door and I'm always down for Bills if you want some doughnuts at any hours. :)

I kinda lost some motivation after the party and only having a few people showing up. But the arcade moved and Jesse has got a few new games at the new location. I've been helping him get ready and have started getting a little bit more motivated again.

Motivations rulez!!!! Whoooooooooo yeeeeeeeeaaaaahhh!!!

Technically, I did show up, fawkin work is a pos!!!! Them bastards!!!

They scheduled me friday and saturday I requested of for the pinball and gameroom expo in akron, I flipped out.
Needless to say I got that friday off, since they learned I had an interview at UPS.

Working a salaried 9-6 is the best thing that's ever happened to me... Been doing that bit for about 6 years and I can't imagine going back to a scheduled/hourly position.

"Tin soldiers and Nixon's coming" I'm up in Kent, OH.
It's 2 hours from C-Bus, 4 hours from Cincy and 2 to Toledo.

BBBBBBbbbback from the Dead!

For the Very specific Columbus Ohio area. Looking for information on closed down arcades from years past.
I have a specific one a coworker mentioned, in Worthington next to the Hills market, at the foot of the Worthing Hills community. Hower, I think information on any that were in the Columbus are would be appreciated.
Take it away boys!

This is an old thread but anyone interested in getting this idea back up and running? I have an ok list of games in Columbus right near OSU that I would be happy to have people visit. Would be nice to hang out with some other collectors once in a while.

I would be more then happy to play your machines lol hit me up!

If there is a central Ohio get together, please keep me in mind. I'm in the Dublin area. Honestly, I'm surprised by the number of collectors in central Ohio.

When I first moved here in the mid-90's they had the best auctions down at the fair grounds. I miss those days...and all the games I had at one time.

We should try and pull something together. Next year, I can host something once the basement is done and I have some working games.

I definitely remember the auctions at the fairground. Back then I didn't have a nickel to spend so just ran around with an extension cord playing all the games.

What's a good night in the next couple weeks for a get together at my place? I'll sweeten the deal by throwing Ina keg of mediocre home brew. I'm out this coming Saturday camping but otherwise am around.

That is awesome, I am totally in. Side note, are you camping Near Columbus? I have been meaning to find some camping places, before now, and go camping very soon. When my sister visited, she was at tree haven in Westerville/New Albany kind, of across Hoover. But that is like an RV one mostly. Which is cool to, but I was wondering what else was out there that isn't $25/Day!
