Source for Wico joystick parts: plastic washer and guard actuator?

Anyone know where I can pick up the plastic washers that go above the bellow and also the guard actuator that clips into the leafswitch:

negative on that one, bob doesn't have the correct dust washers, and doesn't carry the actuator guard for the leaf either.

local413 just got some new ones of these leafs in you can try pm'ing him (he definitely has the dust washer (upper one) not sure about the lower but also try asking) :D

actually bob might have that actuator guard if it's any of these: (looks different in that wico printout)

Just to be clear by plastic washer I'm not talking about the larger dust washer but part # 99-080029 in the picture.

And no, Bob doesn't have these parts. At least not listed on his site.

Question about the steel washer (part #99-080032 in the diagram). How large a washer is it? Most of the ones in my parts box seem to be slightly smaller then the nylon washer (part #99-080029), but I have two larger ones that I thought came from my Robotron.

If someone (not wanting to sell them) is willing to measure the ID and OD, seems like you could find a replacement fairly easily on McMaster Carr or maybe even at Lowes.

When I get home tonight I'll pull the parts and measure them up.. I have a bunch

Actually, I have one nos robotron complete 4" stick.. So I can use that as a perfect reference.
Wico used plastic and metal ones.. Depended on when it was made. Even some nos ones I've got don't have the upper washer, just lower one.

Here's a quick pic to show you what I've got. I've got the nylon washers (though would like to pick up some new ones), but I'm not sure which of the steel ones is the right size.

All sticks are NOS, pulled from their boxes and taken apart.. Here is what I found.

Interesting only the robotron and the 2.75" stick have the plastic washer at the grommet.

btw pete one of the black bases i got from you had 2 of those metal washers (1 where the plastic one is at the grommet), i haven't opened up the other yet.

Thanks for putting this together! Robotron was not what I was expecting though. The top plate looks like it has the 4 way diamond shape and I didn't realize Robotron had the joystick base with the metal leaf switch holders. I'll have to find the exploded view from the Black Widow manual again to compare.

My robotron has the original bases in it (with no metal leaf holders).

Here's an exploded view from the Black Widow manual. It's my understanding these are the same sticks that Robotron uses.

Broodwich, don't suppose you feel like taking the base off one of those sticks to see what size the metal washer is, do you? :)

I'll see what i can do for you but no promises as it's buried in the back of my garage and the damn harness is soldered on (not sure if that makes it easier or harder lol). I need to replace the grommets anyways with some new ones i got ( +1 to the seller).

I've owned a half dozen robotrons over the years.. Some came like yours, some came with the stick I have.. All depends on what was available at the time.. Usually, first run robos have the sticks with screwed on leaves (older style). Wico came out with the snap in ones later.. Shitty design, as the leaves become loose over time.. A few ops have told me to dab a bit of hot glue onto each snapped on leaf, actually works well.

I just sold a robo with the diamond plate joysticks.. It really isn't a 4 way restricter plate.. Not sure why they made them.. As the sticks had 8 way actuators.. But other robos had the round joystick plates.. Who knows..

Not sure if and when wico decided to change sizes, or just drop the top washer..
They also changed grommet styles during this time.. As I have 3 different grommets that all work in these sticks. Soft, hard, and extremely stiff..

Trick is to mess around with all the parts and make yourself a stick that works well. That's what I do.

My robotron has the original bases in it (with no metal leaf holders).

Thanks for the explanation and for taking the time to take pics and label everything. Much appreciated!
