Source for Super Zaxxon matte brown vinyl

I'm going to be scanning and vectorizing the side art on mine before I revinyl it, and getting it printed. I'll be looking into options to make it available to others.

Would be awesome if someone reproduced the sideart for that.

problem is most vinyls today are gloss
the colros I have are semi gloss but unfortuanty dont come in brown
and didnt even find a good match in gloss
I just looked at a super Zaxxon over the weekend and was asked the same thing.

Painting is proably going to be your best option

Hmmm. That's a shame. Well thank you for the reply. I guess painting it will have to be...

I'd call these dudes, ask for a sample and if it's close enough, see if they'll sell you a continuous 12-15 ' roll. They say it's semi-gloss, but really, who cares? It will be tons easier and better looking than paint.

Also, looks like you'll need it 36" wide, so ask if they can get their rolls that wide. I would think so, but you never know.

Yeah, 24" won't be enough. I will contact them and ask about 36"... thank you. I agree, I'd rather not paint the cabinet if I can avoid it.

That ebay link is Cast vinyl, made for wrapping and curves. If you ask them you should be able to get a Calandered version, made for flat surfaces and cheaper. I do have to point out that either way you go with calandered or cast it will show any imperfections, bumps, scratches or whatever you have under the vinyl because it is very thin. Using either a much thicker vinyl or laminate will help from all those imperfections you may have. They might have thicker stuff available also. Just my 2 cents.

I suggest formica in the following color: "2200 Dark Chocolate" in 58 matte finish it would look perfect. You can order it right from Lowes and it comes in multiple sizes.

Matte comes in the following sizes:
Code:
[FONT="Courier New"]
GRADE FINISH SIZE
10 58 - Matte 3', 4', 5'x8', 10', 12'
12 58 - Matte 2.5', 3', 4', 5'x8', 10', 12'
20 58 - Matte 4'x8'
[/FONT]

It is ridiculously easy to install too, just apply the rubber cement to both sides let is dry for 15 minutes then place the two together and roll with 25 LBS per sq inch with a J roller. Then trim with the trimmer bit on your router:

I thought formica was no good because it is too thick? I wouldn't want the sides sticking out past the t-molding.
