This has bugged me ever since my first cabinet in 96'. I get the impression the side to these cabinets is a red vinyl, but I've never heard or seen anyone actually replace the side with new...matching...vinyl (I've seen painted and I've seen ugly as sin patch work vinyl done to cover tears and holes...using a shade of red that is off by like 50 shades ;P).

So far I've shrugged and lived with it, but one of my MVS's is peeled to shit and even though it is sandwiched between two machines -- it is bugging the hell out of me.

Does anyone know of a good source for this stuff in the correct color? Can anyone confirm if this stuff...: http://www.thisoldgame.com/products/donkey-kong-red-vinyl-kit

...is the same shade of red?

...or maybe I've been mistaken all these years and it isn't a vinyl sheet they used during the manufacturing process? Appreciate any sort of help or info. :)

I've only seen the 24"x24" mvs sideart sticker for sale. Never seen the full cab sideart for sale, but would be interested if someone had it since it's pretty lame to have just a 2 foot square of sideart. It's the main reason why my big red still has little tears in it.

Yeah. Those pieces of side art worked great for conversions, but those of us with legit dedicated cabinets are kinda stuck. I've been off again on again working on a one-off stencil so I can paint in the white letters (since that seems to be how it is: red vinyl-ish side with white lettering painted on)...but I need to replace that red siding first. :p
