Ok ive had enough. I love bob and i love what he does, i really do. However, ive had frickin prioblems with these damn replacement mcr interconnect cables since day one.

Is there another source for a "better" cables? if so, where?

try using them on a tapper board.

truly a pain in the ass!!!

Bob does have a kit doesn't he? you can build your own, and they appear to only have 1 row vs 2. (IIRC)

Bob

Bob's build your own kits are much better than the 2 row ones you hve to file down, etc to make fit MCRs with the metal spacers. Best option out there right now. I looked in to hving some produced that actually fit. I had to order 500 units for the company to do it. There designs look nice but for the 50 or 100 that would sell in a reasonable time. it was not worth it to me.

Not for a price that's any where near reasonable...

Figure out how long it'll take you to cut 120 wires to size, strip both ends, crimp on 240 pins (at ~.10 each) and insert them into housings, and you'll quickly see why everyone uses IDC and ribbon cables.
