The original fixtures (for #44 bayonet lamps) on my Missile Command are corroded and only work intermittently (after wiggling their terminals around). Are these still available new?

They look like this:

I received these today and they are a perfect drop-in replacement for the original lamp sockets in Missile Command. When installed the lamps line up perfectly in front of the holes that the light shines through, without having to tweak the mounting bracket at all, and the QD tabs are the right size too (.187") so you can plug the original wires onto it. And being brand new, they work perfectly of course.

Was I right or was I right?
Definitely (as usual).

No more poor connections now and your lights should be bright and steady.

Yes, it is much better (perfect in fact). The original fixtures were rusted in where their QD tabs clamp to their sockets, meaning it wasn't possible to get in there with a wire brush to clean it up. Wiggling their tabs around would make them work sometimes.

Anyone try led "bulb" substitute versions instead of incandescent bulbs in their coin doors? I was at expo and the variety of intensities, colors, etc. was amazing. They even had "warm" white bulbs to mimic the incandescent bulb spectrum. I bought some to experiment with in my games from cointaker who had very reasonable prices at the recent pinball expo. Hans (p1001) had the idea of replacing the coin bulbs with these. Theoretically you'd never have to replace them again.
