Hey guys. I have a working 6100 deflection pcb that has severe corrosion on the single header pins where the neckboard ground and heater wires plug in. Does anyone know of a source for these pins? The ones on a k7000 chassis are a little too short.

Here you go sir:

They're about 5/8" tall. I've attempted to clean, and tin these pins without any improvement. It will work for a while, but then I'll have to re-seat the connectors. I'm looking for a more permanent fix. Thanks.

I'd scrape 'em with sandpaper until they're shiny, and then tin them again to ward against corrosion. If that doesn't work, or they fall apart under that abuse, then replace the pin and connector as a set, so you can use any old connector that can take the voltage/current as opposed to trying to find an exact match.

Thanks for the responses. Already tried the scrape and tin thing. Didn't hold up. I've got molex pins. I just wondered if anyone knew a source for the actual pins. Most monitor boards have them for the degauss coil and the yoke connector, but these are a bit taller than those. Same diameter though. I don't want to use just any old connector as I have several vectors and I want the board to remain interchangeable.

Have you searched through Mouser's site? Might take a while (forever), but I'd start there.

Haven't been able to find them yet. Maybe a question for Ken Layton
