Anyone have a source for rolls of foam tape similar to what was used on cabinets between control panels and glass? Does everyone use tape from the weather-proof section of a hardware store, or is there something more compact or better?

Seems the original stuff was fairly dense. I bought the "beer gasket" from one of the pinball parts suppliers, but honestly it just seems like the dark colored (grey?) weatherstripping that Lowes/HD carries. It does come in different densities, so I'd recommend the heavier stuff, which is more foam and less air pockets.

I agree that most of what I've seen is much less dense than what I take off old machines.

You might try rubber mat material if you can find some.
The stuff used to make the mats on personal watercraft's are pretty dense,if you can find some scraps.
You then can use contact cement to attach it to the cp.
