TV pioneer Soupy Sales passed away last night in New York at the age of 83. He was best known for "The Soupy Sales Show", a '60s children's program that also appealed to adults and featured lots of pie throwing (and an infamous moment involving a stripper hiding off screen), and for being a regular panelist on the '68-'75 run of "What's My Line?", in addition to many guest spots on other game shows like "Hollywood Squares" and "The Match Game".

How does this relate to classic gaming? Mr. Sales was also the voice of Donkey Kong on "Saturday Supercade" from '83 through '85.

Rest in peace Soupy. You will be missed, sir.

Kyle
