Im having an issue with sound the game is lethal enforcers. sound was fine then it just the right speaker was on which still comes on then after about 5 minutes the sound goes out & it starts making a poping noise which gets faster & faster than after a minute or so the sound goes out all together. I unpluged the speakers from the main board & plugged it back in but there was no change.

Bad caps on the sound hybrid...

Or, you have it plugged into a cabinet with incorrect speaker wiring.

The first issue is very common. The 2nd issue is easy to check. Does the audio amplifier heatsink on the game board blister your finger if you touch it? If it does, check the speaker wiring. ;)

amp heat sink

is the heatsink for the amp next to where the speakers plug in on the board? if that is it,yes it gets very hot. i havn't touched the wiring any since i had the machine & it worked fine before, any thing i should be looking for with the wiring?

That it's not crossed... grounded... etc.

If it's plugging straight into the 4 pin stereo connector on the board then it should have separate wires going to each speaker terminal.

They are the lumps on it. There are a couple of threads going right now in this forum section where members are trying to resurrect damaged modules.
