There is no sound coming from my 1943 Battle of the Midway game. The speakers
are good, I tested them already. What is my next step?

Thanks for any help you can offer

Has the sound worked in the past and now it doesnt? I have two boards at home so Ill look when I get home as Im not sure if there is a sound pot on it or not. I thought there was. should be towards the edge of the board. You should be able to turn it right and left. might be green, black, tan or white. If there is one, try turning it both directions and see what happens. Also, check the Jamma wiring and make sure the wires didnt come loose from the board harness. Its number 10 on the harness connection.

Update

We turned the trimpod up and down and we can hear slight static if you put your
ear to the speaker

What do we check next?

Rub your finger under the power amp and see if you get static. If you don't it is either knackered or the caps associated with it need to be replaced.

If you do, the problem is elsewhere. This game uses a Z80 for the sound CPU, these are not exactly known as the most reliable CPU's ever made. Hopefully you have another one you can try.

Ordered Z80 chip

Thanks for the advise....

I ordered the z80 chip from eldorado games, california and it will be here in 3 to 4 days.
Hopefully this will fix the problem...
