Anyone know how to fix the sound output on a CPS2 B Board? I've got a Street Fighter Alpha 3 in need of some attention... I can confirm that the problem is in the B board itself as non of my other games are having sound issues.

I'm willing to throw down some cash to get this done... it's one of my favorites and this fix is beyond me.

It rather depends what you mean by "sound issues".

No sound
Messed up sound
Effects but no music
Music but not effects
Weak volume
Constant high volume
Sound fades in and out

Before you condemn the board, push the volume down button on the A board and hold it down while you power it up. Keep holding it down until you see the splash screens come up.

THEN try to adjust the volume.

Sometimes CPS2 boardsets just get wonky with their volume controls and this will reset it.

Holy cow - you're a genious! Never would have guessed this in 100 years but it worked. Thanks a million!

Cool, nice trick, bit like the Konami eprom reset trick that has wowed a few people down here.
