Hey all. Working on my scratchy Pac Man bootleg sound troubles. My 2sd525 is testing bad. Where do you guys pick up this style that attaches to a heatsink? Having no luck finding it or a cross from mouser or Bob. Found a few crosses but no sources. If anyone can throw me a bone would be much appreciated.

Thats a transistor not a sound amp. What package is it? Looks like a TIP31C should work.
Got a picture of the board and part in question?

Thanks for the details folks. As I understand it the trasistor is for amplifying the signal. The tip31c looks cheap too; can't tell if its a direct replacement tho. It is in the sound section of my Pac Bootleg hooked to the big aluminum heatsink. I will see if I can get a decent pic for illustration. I have to order the NTE or the TIP locally anyhow, cannot seem to find on Bobs site might have to fire off an e-mail.
