I just Bought a Converted 4 Player NBA Jam Cab

Its been converted to Soul Edge

The Display has a Geenish Yellow tint over the whole screen when powered

Though it was the monitor but i swapped the board with a jamma Sky adventure board and it diplayed perfect?

Was hopeing for some idea where to start with this as i am pretty much a newbie when it comes to troubleshooting a PCB

Thanks

+1 on your diagnosis. As for the Soul Edge board, I would inspect the obvious like the JAMMA edge being clean, but it is probably a board issue unfortunately.

If my memory is correct the color output goes through some small electrolytic caps on the top board on these. Ill peak at mine tonight, but id check those caps after checking the edge connector.

Thanks for the replies

I only left the board hooked up for a min , i will hook it back up and leave it for awhile

I cleaned the board and still have the same issue , but i will go over it one more time to make sure

Item 1 - video ground test port, check continuity to the video ground wire on your jamma harness, check any video voltages from near the caps here.

Items 2 and 3 - video level cap and potentiometer / control - you can adjust that if the video levels are off

Item 4 - set of 3 that if my memory is correct controls each color output.

When I last had a problem there, I replaced all 4 electrolytic caps and it worked fine. 1 of em was physically damaged so it was easy to find :)
