This is my first post over here at KLOV but I am active over at BYOAC so don't be discouraged by the low post count. I am just throwing this out there to see if anyone is interested. I converted a Soul Calibur 2 showcase cab into a mame cabinet and am now selling some of the innards.
The game worked before I took it all apart. The only exception is there is a black transparent bar that scrolls from the bottom to top and loops when it fires up. I don't know if that was my monitor or the system itself as I have switched out the monitor for a LCD. However, I did not get the scrolling part when I hooked up the computer to the old monitor so I am assuming its the system itself. Possibly someone with more knowledge than myself can fix it and have it working new. Besides the scrolling bar, everything else worked great. I played it for about a month until I decided to start the mame process. The guy said there may be something wrong with the dvd drive so he gave me another but I never had troubles with the one in there. This machine was from a Tilt arcade which I bought during their year end fire sale.
What I am selling is the magic gate with the game system in it. Namco 246 board. Various wires with jamma harness. Two Soul Calibur 2 disks. The marquee. Operation manual and tourny brackets. Also the basic directions strip that goes over the control panel. And I can try but no promises as it is glued to the control panel, the moves list strip. I will have to be very careful and try to remove it with a razor blade but it may get ruined in the process. Here are some pictures:
I think I want to keep the control panel so this is the strip I will have to carefully remove:
Video of scrolling black bar and Intro screen that I took awhile ago. The scrolling black transparent bar stays throughout the whole game. Could be an easy fix, but I have no idea how to do it. Vid:

I will consider any serious offers so throw one out. I see they are going for around $300 on ebay but since mine has the scrolling black bar, I will start around 225+ shipping. If you have any questions on this or are wondering about the items, please let me know and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Thanks for looking!!
