Hello bargain shoppers

Long story short, I'm not having a good time when I go out to the garage anymore. Why? Because I have too many long term projects, not enough working stuff. I'm talking stuff that has sat here since the 90's, living off of good intentions. Let my situation be a warning to noobs: only take what you have time to work on. Only exception to that rule is buying/taking my stuff. Take it now. NOW! You can make this stuff like new again, I promise!

+++++++++++++Fine Print First++++++++++++++++++
I'm very honest about the condition of my stuff, so don't be scared away. Lots of pictures as well.

Cabinets and large items won't ship. I'm currently not interested in parting out and shipping parts off of these cabs. Part of the deal with the cabinets is you are saving me from having to part out and destroy good arcade wood. You need to come out and take the entire thing. Bring a truck. I'll help you load it.

Smaller parts, price doesn't include shipping and handling.

Located in Concord CA. Open for pick ups M-W afternoons and weekends.

"Make an offer" means I don't know what a fair asking price is, so I am asking you to start the negotiations. I'm not trying to play amateur auctioneer.

Most prices are negotiable.

People who can take cabinets immediately get priority over people trying to reserve. Regardless of who PM'd me first. Get your butt down here and take this stuff.

More stuff coming...as soon as I dig through my stuff some more...

What I am looking for if you want to trade or swap free stuff:

Neo Geo MVS power supply. I could go the switching power supply route, but I want the original plug n' play one. I have some switching power supplies and some of the similar metal case power supplies I could trade. Lemme dig for specifics... :)

Chase H.Q ($50)

Cabinets

Chase H.Q. ($50): One of those project machines I realized I'd never really get to. Works. Playable. Sound may need some work. Monitor definitely needs some work (dull colors...sometimes color goes out). Cosmetically it needs some serious TLC. The arcade op that had this machine did some Frankenstein experiment to the CP, where he screwed chunks of wood to the sides to hold the CP shut. I removed most of the offending wood, but I couldn't figure out how the CP properly closes. He also spilled black paint on one side. Would make a good starting point for someone looking for a project that loves Chase H.Q or would be a good parts machine. Lost the marquee. I'll throw it in/ship it if I find it. Asking price is essentially for the good working parts.

Empty Z-Back (Free)

KEEPING IT: NO LONGER AVAILABLE

Cabinets

Z-Back (Free - MONITOR NOT INCLUDED): Picked up from an op that turned it into a Neo Geo MvS. Originally was going to turn it into a vertical shmup cabinet. Then was going to turn it into a Hyper Fighting and sell it. Whenever I bought parts for either project, they wound up in other machines. Funny how that works? This is as bare wood as it gets. Monitor in pictures is not included. The cabinet just became a good holder for my spare monitor. Control panel was drilled a tad. Please note the side on one picture. Patches of the vinyl are missing on the side (couldn't scoot it out for the pictures...I'll try to take more if asked). This thing is begging for a primer and repaint job. Are you man enough to do it? I'm daring you, KLOV. Turn this into something cool, unless you're all pansies. ;)

Galaga (Free)

GONE: PICKED UP

Cabinets

Galaga (Free): I'm probably most ashamed of this one. Arcrevival gave me this project for free way back when he was in the bay area. Every summer I told myself I'd turn this one around, but here we are. Who knows how many years later and it is still waiting for me to revive it. Throwing in all the parts that came with it. Coin door. Power supply PCB. Power brick at the bottom. No Marquee. No CP. Only two problems I can think of: the kick plate is going to eventually need replacing and there is something going on with the very edge of the wood. Otherwise, she seems really solid. IIRC, there is no backdoor either.

This is intriguing. I smell a Jehuie haul amongst the bull rush since it's in his backyard. ;)

EDIT: Nevermind. Good luck Sosage! :)

Random parts

Parts

Atari Power Brick (Make an Offer): Came out of a Crystal Castles that was converted to Marvel vs. Capcom. Was going to utilize it in a Centipede project but, lo and behold, my Centipede cabinet already has one. Would rather avoid shipping this, as it is super heavy. Includes the little mounting plate that goes onto the floor and a plastic cover that went over the power cord opening at the back of the cab.

Atari Shifter ($20): I believe this goes to either a Hard Drivin or a Race Drivin. Originally bought it for 20 for my Pole Position, but PP requires a 2 point shifter (High and Low). This shifter has four points, as if it were made for a game with a 3-4 speed manual transmission.

Centipede Control Panel ($15): Was used in a WWF Superstars conversion. Still has the WWF art on it. Pictures

Crystal Castles Control Panel (Free): Drilled to hell. The same Crystal Castles into Marvel vs. Capcom conversion. If no one takes it, it's garbage. Pictures coming soon.

Zenith 25inch tube (Free): Was used for a K719X. Got the chassis repaired by Arcadecup, went to install and noticed a pin seemed to have been broken off the neck. I'm not savvy enough to try and repair it, but maybe you are. Again, tube only. I'm saving the chassis for another tube.

Welder and a table

Non-arcade parts

Lincoln Electronics Weld Pak 100 Welder ($200 FIRM): My father bought this in 2000 as a good starter welding tool. He was really into hot rods and was looking forward to a lot of metal work. He used it maybe twice before passing away. Welding is yet another backburner thing that I just don't have the time to get into. You'll need to provide your own tank for the gas mixture, but AFAIK everything else is here. Comes with the cart accessory, face shield, gloves and manuals. Supposedly a very good beginner welding tool. Tempting to try and repair drilled CP's with this thing. :) I'll also toss in a heavy duty welding table that has NEVER BEEN USED. Legs and table top. You'll have to provide your own bolts to put it together from Ace/Lowes/Home Depot.

Saw table ($10): Good little work table. I have plenty of other tables in the garage. Need to let one go.

that looks like it is defiately for a race or hard drivin UPRIGHT.

Parts

Atari Shifter ($20): I believe this goes to either a Hard Drivin or a Race Drivin. Originally bought it for 20 for my Pole Position, but PP requires a 2 point shifter (High and Low). This shifter has four points, as if it were made for a game with a 3-4 speed manual transmission.

Bump. I'm really close to just keeping the Z-Back and going with my original plan. Talk me out of it if it interests you.

The Chase H.Q. is getting parted if no one takes it. Make an offer.

Centipede and power brick are pending.

This is intriguing. I smell a Jehuie haul amongst the bull rush since it's in his backyard. ;)

Tempting but I have more projects than I can handle already as well. Now if there were some specific parts in there that I'm looking for I'd be all over it. :)

And it's also tempting to just come over and rummage around just to get to hang out with a fellow junkie.

I'm interested in the Galaga. Going to have to see how my roomies feel about me bringing another cab into the apartment. Will get back to you.

I'm pulling the Z-Back back. Gonna ground up restore it to HF, shooting for bringing it to CAX 2012.

Galaga is gone. The good news for Dave is that MrSlo picked it up. :)

Chase H.Q. is very close to being parted out and the wood dragged to the curb. Hate to do it, but I need to clear out the room. It's a doable project for someone that is good with cosmetic restorations. Electronically functional outside of the sound and monitor needing some love.

Dave....What are you talking about. I picked this one up for you. Now hurry up and get this thing back together....This is why I called you yesterday.
