I've been wracking my frigging brain and searching the net trying to remember a game my buddy and I were talking about... What brought it up was me getting in trouble for an enormous phone bill (like $30 -gasp!) from my parents when I downloaded it off a pirate BBS.
I thought EA made the game, but it was a scrolling shooter with a 3D-ish perspective looking at your ship from behind. You went forward, left and right across the terrain in a spaceship toward a tower.
There were various things on the ground that either added or sapped your energy. When you got to the tower you had to shoot and destroy it. At that point, the game ended and showed a quote from a famous person in history.
I usually come up with these game titles in a second, I've somehow blacked out on this one.
