Sorry to all you Punchout nuts!!

How can you be sure that the seller did this... and not some asshole op? It seems everyone assumes the seller is responsible for shitty conversions.

Still looks goofy though.

I never blamed the seller. I don't think anyone else did either...When I said "he" I was referring to whoever converted it, might be the seller and might not be. The seller owns it now, so he should get the blame....I take it all back I blame the seller. :)

It could be cool.. If someone re wrote street fighter 2 so it was wire frame behind view on the bottom screen and health bars and shit on top hahaha

There was one just like it for sale around here awhile back (may have been in Oklahoma...can't remember). I guess everything got turned into SFII at some point.

I bet the Dig Dug next to it was converted to a Mortal Kombat, someone email and ask him. :) I like fighters as much as the next guy who was a teenager in the 90s, but damn. Hopefully someone will pick it up and deconvert it.

And yeah, OPs did a lot of horrid stuff to games on route. Both of my machines are converted classics, but they were butchered well before they got to me. I still want to strangle the guys who figured it'd be easier to solder wiring into a CP instead of putting qd's on. Time is money but that's a pain in the ass for a collector down the road.

What in the hell is the point of having two monitors playing the same image? Chalk this one up for the dumb shit people do award of the year!

Even at $250 that is a STEAL and EASILY reversible.

It is hard to know the condition of the cabinet from crappy Craigslist pictures, but assuming it is in good condition, you'd need:

• Boardset
• Main wiring harness
• Original power supply
• Marquee
• Populated CP with harness
• Sideart

All of that is not only a headache to find, but it could easily double your total cost of the machine, especially if you have to get everything piecemeal online (added shipping costs on each item). Overall it may not end up being a terrible price for a complete and working PO, but it won't be a steal either.

I can see this working for someone who likes having SFII et others Fighter tournaments- it definately makes it easier for other players and refs to see what's going on. Not saying I like that it's in a punch-out though.

It's for redundancy. If one monitor goes out while you're playing, you can just look at the other one. It's like RAID, for monitors! For really serious SFII players I guess.
