Well,.... today, I almost fixed my Donkey Kong game. On the cusp of getting a control panel pieced together, and wired up so that I could finally play my pieced together DK, defeat was promptly snatched from the jaws of victory. I had a fully working DK sans the control panel and harness. And as I was rotating the game around so I could test it, adjust it, then play it. a couple wrench sets and monitor mounts that were laying on top of it along with a vinyl cover all came crashing down into the back of my open game. As far as I can tell, the monitor is fine and powers up, the board should be unscathed as it was in the cage, but the jarring of the tools hitting the power brick and various wiring has done something to the power supply. I want to think that the 5 volts is dead. I was so disgusted, I just cleaned up and quit for the night. I tried a few things, but mostly I just dropped if for now. Hopefully by Wednesday, I will either have power restored or have the entire brick apart and looking for something wrong... As always advice as to where to look for the solution is always appreciated. And what makes it all worse, I had just been looking for those monitor brackets to stick back into the game for spares if it was ever converted back to horizontal. Damnable monkey fracas!
