Here are some pics of work I am doing in my barn to be able to have an arcade on the second floor. I have been building a second floor from scratch with lumber I have a accumulated over time.

This set is work done for 4' x 7' opening in the floor in order to be able to move large items (Like my Super Off Road 3 player :D) up there with the use of forks on my tractor.

Anybody else have interesting work done for the sake of your games. Post me a link so I can see. ;)

Here are some more pics of the floor framing work. The sweet spot for working on this stuff when you have a young child seems to be between 9pm and midnight! :D :

Sometimes it is way too difficult to organize a bunch of people for something like that, but maybe a barn arcade party one day. :D

Looks really cool. It will be nice to see it all finished up! Good luck

It'll be quite a while before that happens. I'll post pics here and there of progress though.

Second floor huh? You putting in an elevator too?

Who needs an elevator? There will be stairs though.

DUDE.. I wish i had a barn. I wish a had the wood to make a barncade.

Most of all, i wish i had the ability to put games in my barncade via a tractor with forks on it. Moving games to and from my basement SUCKS..

Its definately going to be an interesting space when you are done.

The barn is what sold me on the house back in 2003. To think the previous owner almost took it down for driveway space makes me shutter. There are three levels with the addition of the second floor. ground level, main floor, second floor. Total sq. ft. will will be about 3,000. My house is 2,000. :D New roof should go on this summer.

You get your parts yet???

Yeah man. I meant to PM you and have been distracted. As you can see, when I get home from work, my second job begins. :D I did not pull it all out of the box, but didn't hear broken glass and the speaker covers looked nice. Great packing job. I'll leave ya some good feedback. Thanks again!

Slowly getting work done. Quite hard to find the time with a one year old and a wife who is taking classes for her Doctorate. Still progress is being made, should pick up as the grass stops growing so fast. :)

awesome man!! I fully understand about the whole kid thing when i finished off two rooms for my wife it took forever because it was all done in that sweet spot of 9pm-1am

Been planing some floor planks for the barn! Once I plane enough of them for the section I am working on I'll have to take the router to them for the tongue and groove.
