It's like having a MAME cabinet in the palm of your hand.

This has been in development for a long time, and many people didn't think it'd ever happen. But mass production has officially begun.

Can't wait for mine!

At $330, I'll pass...

It's very expensive for a handheld, no doubt.

But it can play games for every console from 1972 Pong through the first Sony PlayStation. Including PC games because of the emulation speed + keyboard. Not bad bang for the buck.

I like the idea of having Castlevania - Symphony Of the Night, Smash TV, Zork, and Leisure Suit Larry all in my pocket.

Buy a PSP and hack it. Easy to do and runs great.

The Pandora runs faster, has two analog joystick controls plus the D-Pad, and a full keyboard for PC games. In other words, you can't hack a PSP to do all that Pandora does.

Dont get me wrong....I would love to have one but its a little expensive right now. If It were $200 i would consider getting one. Just a little steep on the price right now.

I have to agree with davin on this one. It's a great concept and I can understand why the developers would charge that much for one since so much work went into it, but it's way too pricey for casual gamers. It's great to be able to play PC games and have dual analogs and such, but I guess it always comes down to who is willing to pay for it.

For me, I have a 10" Asus netbook with Windows XP that I run MAME off of and I can hook up a controller or joystick to it and it plays just fine. And since it is a PC, obviously I can run old PC games and ScummVM. It may not be a handheld, but it's small enough to travel with and it has all the features that I need. And it's cheaper than $330.

Yup - netbooks aren't a bad choice for portable gaming; I used mine and it ran MAME pretty damn well.

Has anyone here used a netbook to run MAME in a countertop machine?
