Some of you might have read my post about getting a Vs gun working again using parts from an NES zapper. Here is the link to that post http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=93760 . The game was a Vs Duck Hunt but the back door had an original Hogan's Alley settings sheet attached. Thanks to LyonsArcade, I have now switched it back to a Vs Hogan's Alley which I find more enticing to play.

So now the Nintendo Vs Hogans Alley has entered the herd by joining the lineup on Nintendo Row. Yes, Yes, I know I need a good Punchout to round out the collection. It'll happen soon enough.

Awesome! I love it. All I need is a DK3 to complete my Nin row but funds are lacking somewhat at the moment. I gave up looking for a RadarScope a long time ago. Great looking row!

Awesome! Can't wait 'til my son is done fighting Pizza Pasta so I can show him this picture. ;) He'd love Hogan's Alley and/or Mario Bros.

WOW! Looks fantastic. Great work, man. I hate you.

I dont' recognize that Ninty cabinet the Hogan's Alley is in. What is it? I guess I have seen that style Vs. Unisystem cabinet before but it seems odd and maybe rare? What's the story with it?

That's a standard dedicated VS cab.
I believe they also used a form of that cabinet on the dual attached games like RBI?

Nice collection dude congrats!

Sweet.

I would buy a Spaeth switcher and throw a Vs Gumshoe chipset on the other side. Best Nintendo gun game, ever.

Where can I pick up a VS switcher or Spaeth switcher? I understand the Vs Unisystem has positions for 2 chipsets and 2 monitors (like for the red tent or Dual system), so does the switcher make it so you can use only 1 monitor? I wouldn't mind getting a Gumshoe chipset if someone wants to PM me. I do still have the DuckHunt chipset so I could use that in a switcher for now.

Also, the grey cab is a dedicated Vs Unisystem cab. From the yellowed sheet stapled on the back door I am pretty sure mine came from the factory as a Hogan's Alley. I did have an opportunity to pickup a Dual system in Kansas City on the cheap a while back, but those things are huge so I had to pass. They look like this below.

Spaeth is going to be making another run of switchers here shortly. You are correct, it allows you to use 2 chipsets on one board, with one monitor. I have a switcher in my cab, and have more than 1 game on all my PCBs. Its freaking sweet.

agree i have a NOS kit already to go...cant wait to get my VS dual system up and running dual gun games...the goal is , Duck hunt, gumshoe, Hogans alley, freedom force. with a switcher of course id be able to hold all four games.

Yeah, I just helped move one of those monsters out of a basement a week ago. I guess I never noticed or realized there was a single monitor version of that beast.

You would actually need a switcher of a different kind for 4 games. You would need a switcher that switched back and forth between separate PCBs rather than switching between the different sides (if that made sense).

Wonder if that is possible?

Jow's right Brian. The dualsystem only holds one PCB. How can four games go in there even with Mark's switcher?

He could put two PCB's and two power supplies in there, treating each half of the Dual system as a separate Uni cab. Then use a switcher with each PCB.

yea what he said, i mentioned it to mark at your place and he seemed to think it would work..? maybe not..so what you saying jow and john is that marks switcher wouldnt do anything for the dual system? i was thinking i could get 2 pcbs in there..
