Just sharing a little odd fact....

I have a bunch of NOS and pulls of Pokeys. Within the last 48 hours, there has been almost 100 sold off the site! Crazy. :p

Who's trying to corner the market?!?!

whats the estimated shelf life on these i seem to run across bad ones much more frequently these days .... as if we have reached that window of failure simply due to age

Must be a new project coming from someone. Anyone know of anything in the non-arcade world?
I would assume the new FPGA boards "we've" seen do not need POKEYs. (thankfully - due to their poor reliablity)

Ballblazer and Commando restoration project? Lol

"Our goal is to restore these cartridges as they have been pillaged for their POKEYs by the arcade community."

One customer/IP-address or several?

Man I'm running out of pokeys.... I bought a bunch in 2012 from arcade-chips.com but he cut me off at about 50 to be fair to others, though almost all of those have gone to others that I have repaired for :(

Someone needs to repro the single unit soon. I had a friend that was going to try to but unfortunately he's not got around to it yet :(

maybe its the guy who just made new pokeys
dry up the market of old pokeys and charge more for his new lol
On a positive note..
If you need a pokey and have a qpe/4 pokey board, you could buy the Repro and magic, 4 instant usable pokeys.

HotRod would be smarter to do a 4pokey board buy back program. 50% discount on Qpokey = $60, sell the 4 returned pokeys for $25 each, make $160 instead of $125.
... in theory

Definitely need that SINGLE POKEY solution sometime in the next few years ... (IMHO). Too many players in the game needing these ...

I completely agree and need three single POKEYs right now just to fix two Tempest boards!

$35 each right now on ebay, just de-solder them out of the atari ballblazer 7800 cart and
you're golden! it's the only last resource to obtain the last remaining POKEYs in the world!!!

Yes, those suckers are getting expensive and a modern, inexpensive equivalent is really needed! I ordered some from another source, but I suspect I will need more in the very near future. :(
