Someone Selling Garbage on Ebay - Literally!

Sad. But no more sad than someone trying to sell a potato chip that looks like Pac-Man.
I have lots of boxes that have company names on them. Now that I know I can sell them for profit... er... never mind.

So am I a bad person for selling a box? The buyer seems happy.

i have an Atari System I box for Marble Madness. If anyone is interested... :) (seriously, i do and it holds Thomas the Tank parts... :) )

Not at all. You didn't mis-represent anything, right? So no problem! If someone really wants a box, then who are you to not take their money!

If someone actually buys the Ebay guy's trash, then we'll have a new calibration point for stupid things that people buy. As long as nothing is mis-represented, there's no problem with selling off your trash.

Nope. The buyer wanted it, so be it. It's just something I've never considered before. Game boxes for consoles is one thing. They are more valuable with the box. But the cardboard box that used to hold parts from a game company or something similar, I never considered to have value. I guess it does to some. To each his own.

I am a console collector, and my friend http://www.videogameobsession.com/ is even more of a collector. I completely understand why someone would value the box that a kit came in. I would have kept it myself expect for the fact that I didn't have the game that came in the box, and it is HUGE! I have been trying to not get into collecting arcade stuff like I have collected console games and Transformers. It can easily switch to hoarding. So I am only collecting just the games I want to play.
