I'm going to hang some old movie theater speakers from the ceiling on the smaller side of my basement arcade. With these there will be no hiding the wires in some spots as I run them to the other side of the basement to hook up to the stereo.

Here's a link to the thread about those speakers:

My question is, what can I use to attach the speaker wires to the wall and the baseboard that looks good and is not too noticeable?

Thanks guys

I say find a way to get some tron neon blue 'tubing' and run them through there. :)

Just lay it out really clean, and use those plastic 'channels' they sell. Just run one straight down the corner of the wall, and then straight across the top of the baseboard. The backpiece attaches to the wall with tape, and then you lay the wires inside and snap the cover on it. Looks really clean... and you can paint them too if you don't like the color.

Edit: What Hucklebuck said!

yes that wire mold latching duct or other brands of latching duct can work well just make sure to sink some screws in when you mount it. Don't just rely on the sticker backing to hold it on. Over time the backing will give out and the duct will be hanging from you wires.

Another option which would be more expensive and not so much hidden but would hide the wire would be using EMT and junction boxes with couplers as needed. Of course depending on the run you might need the EMT bent which could be a pain unless you know how to do this or have a friend who does.

There are also a number of brackets or saddles you can buy that mount either by screwing or nailing into the wall. You run the cable through these and can tie off at the brackets to keep the cable tight. Although this doesn't really conceal the cabling.

IIRC don't you have the arcade that's themed with the guy in the gas mask and the phone booth etc. ? Or am I thinking of someone else? If this is you and you are running cable in that area I would actually lean toward the EMT or the brackets. Personally I would use the metal nail in brackets to fit the theme. I would actually go so far as to find a less modern looking speaker wire too. I'd probably go with a brown color or possibly a clear or translucent yellow. The latching duct would probably be the best way to hide the cabling but I think the other options would better fit the theme.

You should run it on miniture telephone wire poles to keep with your theme. Oh yea and run them to the booth too.

Yep, that's my arcade. 2 "downed" pilots in gas masks, and the emergency line booth and utility poles, etc. I just may use the brackets or saddles. This would probably fit my theme better like you said. I'll see what I can come up with.

Thanks to all for the advice. I appreciate it.
