some pics of the cax weekend

*sigh*

I was telling AG via PM that while I played a crapload of games, I felt like I was always playing by myself. I couldn't find KLOVers to save my life. I also had some friends from out of town with me, so I felt like I needed to not ditch them whilst at the show. Between that, and trying to give my wife breaks with our son up in the room, I definitley didnt get to spend as much time with all of you dudes as I wanted to.

My appologies.

I hear you Jow. Wish I could've met you.

If i can make it next year I want to make a better effort to see some of the Klovers . I didnt meet anyone new this year. Maybe we can have more than one Klov meet up time, have one every 3-4 hours or something like that instead of just one.

+1. At the very least, a scheduled meetup on both days.

Well I was happy to meet you man. You seem like a good guy and a great dad. As a former bodybuilder, I know what it takes to stay in that kind of shape. I need to get back to where you are, and you inspired me for sure, seeing that you can be a dad AND a bodybuilder. My wife doesn't think it is possible, hence my 40 lb weight gain over the last 5 years.

Yeah, great meeting you as well! It was having kids that got me into it in the first place. I started when my son was 1. I was pretty sedentary and overweight (about 25 lbs) and wanted to be a good example for him, then I got hooked. :)

The downside is I have to sacrifice sleep to do it. 7 hours is a fantasy for me. 6.5 if I'm lucky. And it's not uncommon to get 5.5. :(

On another note, maybe I missed it but I'm really hoping to see the group photo with names attached to faces like we did at the Seattle show so I can figure out who I noticed but never actually met. Has that been done?

+1! I was asked multiple times, "Where were you Saturday." Um... playing games from 10:40 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. with several breaks for food, drink, etc. I think next year we need to schedule some prearranged events like a dinner and/or drinks at the bar so we can plan on meeting up in advance and not leave it to chance that we'll run in to people we've often never met in person. Great time this weekend. A huge thank you to those who brought games and those that put this on. Without you this would not be possible and the hard work is appreciated!

you know what else may work too. the t-shirt thing... if everyone wears a klov shirt, or we make a list of who's wearing what t shirt, etc, for people that don't know someone by sight a lone.

The meet up time and place should be Happy Hour at the hotel bar , 4:00pm , Saturday and Sunday .

The pin guys created lanyards they could wear at the shows. They are bright yellow and marked with RGP so you at least knew the guy was a fellow member. Maybe KLOV can do something like that for next year's round of shows. Sure beats the hell out of some sweaty guy living in his car for the weekend wearing the same shirt for three days...

No doubt. I saw you once at the pic, and I saw you once playing MH. That was it.

I did get to spend most of Friday Night reclining with Sav on the outdoor couches, Roman-style, but then I saw him very sparingly after that. I saw him at the KLOV pic, later at the KLOV clusterfuck in the middle of the walking aisle and then I saw him on his back using a mechanic creeper to sneak peeks under the stalls in the Mens room.

To be honest, Fly was the only one I remember really seeing more than once. He was probably creeped out by me, as every time I saw him playing T&F or Punch-Out, I stopped and asked him about how he played/etc.

Final shot leaving the parking lot.... Full Throttle and his faithful companion, Sarge. Damn that dog is cool.

its funny it bummed me out to see ya leave karl we dont get to hang out enough

Karl tried to show me how to play that game... he made it look so easy, and I just could not do it! Zero circles for me... it was pathetic!!:p

No shame there Wendy, that is part of the reason Quantum did not do so well in the arcades back in the day.

You may say 'no shame' but when you really try to play the games well, it is embarassing to bomb so badly!!
