Some Pics for Inspiration

crazykong.jpg

Finally my fully restored dedicated Falcon Crazy Kong.
HUGE thanks go out to Brian (Wickedbass) and Andy (Dewman)
They gifted me the Bezel, Marquee and CP (mine were shit and needed to be upgraded)
KLOV brotherhood at it's best.
(This Old Game vinyl was used fyi) a lenghty resto blog is slated for the not too distant future..

That is NOT a Falcon Crazy Kong. You might have the Falcon board running in that cabinet but it is not the cabinet or art the way Falcon released it. That is a bootleg. I have one that I have owned since about 83'. That game came with a version of the ORCA Crazy Kong board that has the Falcon logo blacked out.

Now I think this is still the best Crazy Kong cabinet and is the only one I would have in my collection. Falcon Crazy Kong had woodgrain artwork and a very different marquee and cpo.

Great time today, all the games looked minty, and played perfect.... except for the Indiana Jones which had the monitor die while I was playing it (swear I didn't do anything to cause it!).
Makes you remember BITD when the games were new. Gets you spoiled, afterwards when you go to an arcade you see all the wear these games have, and when you do find some classics half the games have a hardware issue that makes playing impossible.

VintageGamer and a few others were toying around with having the next MidEastCoast Klover Convention at Richie's.....

Getting a KLOV group gathering at Richies organized!! He said it was a go if he was not booked. I'll start a post once I get some more info.

1) Going to check when he is available and then see what date it best. I think late April or May would be good, before the "real" summer starts but we will see what everyone thinks. We had people drive 3 hours (and across the country from Washington state) to the "crabtown" gathering, so if we have people travel similar distances we should get a large turnout.
2) Check with Richie to see what his occupancy limit is.
3) If its a private event, is BYOB OK?
4) get info on cheap local motel/hotels for those driving a distance.

I saw several of those BITD and that one was actually for sale locally on CL and ebay, but I didn't find out about it until after it sold (for only $150!) I'd have been all over that for $150 :D

You're the best Richie; very nice pictures.

I've got to get out to your place one of these days.

yes you do;

I came in first on 720 just shy of 300K. It had been the first time I
seriously played in almost a year.

here is the proof
