Dude posts an ad on CL locally... 14 games... $3,000. Unfortunately only 5 of the 14 are working. Really? And the dude is only interested in a bulk deal... no individual sales.

He has some nice classic titles, but come on, $3K in bum fuk Idaho for 5 working and 9 non-working games?

Crackpipe meet lips... lips meet crackpipe!

Thought that you guys were all about Meth out there...

PS: Real crack heads don't try to get an arm and a leg for shit... They might start out at some crazy price, but before you know it, they are asking for next to nothing.

14 old style arcade games, will sell only as a complete set!
Games that work include Galaga, Centipede, Donkey Kong, Asteroids, Dynamite Duke
Games that dont work include Centipede, Dragon Breed, Stargate, Pole Position, Pac Man Plus, Jr. Pac Man, Ms. Pac Man, Scramble and Street Fighter II
All the games are in good condition and the ones that dont work were always easy to fix for the repairman. I'm selling them because we no longer have space for them.

Crackhead... tweaker... whatever. :D

Well, if I broke it down and said of his working games and what he may get for them (or what I may ask as a minimum):

Galaga - $500
Centipede -$350
Donkey Kong - $400
Asteroids - $350
Dynamite Duke - $200

Okay, that gets us to $1800.

Now, take 9 non-working games for the next $1200 = $133/each. Not too bad if they're in decent shape.

Still the crack-smoking is in the "buy in bulk only" strategy, not in the pricing....

Those aren't middle-of-nowhere bulk-deal prices...

213.00 a game? me i'd buy em if they weren't beat to shit.

Personally I wouldn't pay over $200/working game or $100/non-working game in a bulk buy (with limited exceptions), but that may be just me. None of those are rare and he wants them gone as a package deal in the middle of nowhere. If he wants top dollar, sell singally and get those "easy fixes" taken care of. Guy wants single ggame prices for the bulk deal IMO. Good luck with that...

The BULK price is crack-smoker worthy...

If he wants to sell in bulk only...he better drop to about $1,500 or so.

LOL Same ol song and dance, just different local

So as a seller, you would list 14 games at $1500 in a bulk deal? I doubt anyone here would do that unless all were non-working and beat to hell. Not saying the $3k is fair...

nothing personal, but i'm not in california where the games practically grew on trees. I see maybe 5 games a month on cl within an hour of my location, and a handfull of games on ebay in the same distance.

Shoot, the only games on CL listed in my state are mine or Shardian's.

You see up to 5 games a month on CL within an hour of you??? Wow! I see maybe 5 games a year within an hour of me on CL AND Ebay. $214 each for that many games would be a steal around here, working or not. Now raising $3000, or having room for that many games is the real deal breaker.

I almost never find anything within an hour of me. Steve23 is about the closest, at 1 1/2 hours, but most of my finds are 2-4 hours away.

GUy on CL here has 2 games for sale, asking $400, 1 game working, the other not. I email asking what he would take for the non working game (only one I was interested in). he Wouldnt split them up

i think that's the rub here; even on the game-friendly West Coast it's not a bad deal when looked at on a title-by-title basis, but that's a heck of a lot of cash for someone to drop all at once.

he's probably better off selling some of those higher-value working games for what he can and getting the non-working stuff out the door cheap.

bum fuk Idaho

i love idaho. everytime ive been there i saw beautiful spaces...
am thinking of moving there after i sell a bunch of games. probably just another fantasy tho...
is idaho one of the states that took stimulus money?

southeast of pocatello was outrageous...

No idea if we took stimulus money. I hope we did... I have to pay for that shit regardless, might as well get a benefit from it.

Idaho IS one of the reddest states if that's what you're looking for. We also have a single area code for the entire state... which says a lot.

:D

Given the serious haggling nature of CL, I probably would have listed them for something like that, then sat back and watched what kind of lowball offers came in. Go talk to him. Maybe he'll deal for the lot now. Go back in a week and see if his visions of gold in them cabs has dimmed and see if he'll take a lower offer or let you cherry pick. Start a dialog, in a couple of weeks, he may be willing to talk reason, but if you are not the one talking, kiss any deals goodbye.
