Some inkjet repro backglasses available again on eBay

I know it isn't nearly the same as a nice silkscreened repro, but there are a few new repro backglasses done on tempered glass with inkjet and UV inks. Also has the blocking layers applied so it doesn't look like ass when backlit.

Just picked up one last night for Seawitch since there is no telling if/when that game will ever get done by classicplayfields. Will report back to comment on quality when I get it installed in my machine.

Looks like he is also offering Nineball, Star Gazer, and Catacomb glasses. A little pricey perhaps, but if you're hard up for one of these glasses it's worth considering.

interesting I wondered when someone would start doing this.
makes sense even though the price is alittle steep
but you could get alot more titles done this way of production
couldnt quite tell from the desciption but it sounds like the art is applied to the surface of the glass and then the white and grey are printed on the other side??

If thats the case it would be better to print them in reverse and laminate them to the back side of glass then print white and real silver-IMO

But the other big ? is licenseing, if they're not licensed
dont expect these to stay avaialble too long.

I sure hope it is reverse printed and then backed up by the blocking layer. If it cost that much and the graphic is printed on the front I'm not going to be too happy.

I'm assuming that since they advise to make sure your score display padding is there that the graphic is printed on the back side.

I'll be happy as long as the artwork was reproduced well and it looks nice backlit. Price isn't a big issue, just want a nice glass that doesn't have spiderweb-like cracking all over it.

Hoping to have a positive report once this arrives, should be shipping out tomorrow (though I won't see it until I get back, which will probably be like a month.

I wonder if he would do a Freefall?
I believe he contacted me when I was advertising for a specific backglass, he just happened to be making a few of them at that time. I asked him about a couple others and the problem, as stated to me then, was that they had to find a perfect glass to take the scans from, and we all know how hard it is to find a perfect glass
