I the have a 8 liner with a 19" monitor and a upright bad dudes with a 19" monitor. Why is the isolated transformer bigger in the 8 liner than in my bad dudes cab. Not sure the monitor brand on the 8 liner, the bad dudes has a wg 7000. My real question is I have an extra wg 7000 I would like to replace in the 8 liner. Can I just swap the monitor and it be fine or do I have to swap out the isolated transformer to. If I do what should be the specks on the isolated to do so? Pic one & two is the 8 liner transformer. Pic three is the one I can replace in the 8 liner if I have to swap out. Also the 8 liner has 6 wires going into the monitor for the sync, rbg. Not sure where the 6th wire goes to. If anybody can help out that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

It wont let me up load pics not sure what the deal is

Most likely the transformers are interchangeable, are there any markings on them? What is the voltage going to the monitor in the 8 Liner? If the voltage is near 120v you can swap in the K7000 without a problem.

The 6 wires going to the monitor are Red, Blue, Green, Horizontal Sync, Vertical Sync, and ground. Jamma era games, and many earlier games, combined the sync lines into a composite sync. This is why most video games only have five wires.

Here is the pics. Finally got them to upload.

The first two pics are the ones on the 8 liner. One side is not being used the other side is. Sorry for the bad pic. Couldnt get camera in under wires very good. And the third is the one I can use if I need to swap out isolated transformer.

I also wanted to know how to know which vertical sync & horizontal sync to use. Positive or negative. Do you alway use negative sync. Is their a reason to use positive sync. Just wasn't sure which on the 8 liner.

I was going to mention. Not sure if it's an 8 liner board after looking at it. 8 liners has 2 edge connects and this one has a single edge connect. The game is joker poker.

Thanks in advance

the first two pics are not ISO transformers.

the third is.

on a JAMMA game you want composite negative sync.

on a wells chassis as an example it is pin 10 on the video connector.
