Went to go pick up what was intended to be a $60 purchase. When the seller and I were loading it into the truck, I heard a loud and disheartening CRACK, followed by an innocent "....ooops."

The seller grabbed the game by the speaker panel and tore it off. Whoops!

Luckily its indeed fixable. The seller was a nice guy too, because he insisted on having me only pay $20 for the game instead of the intended $60. Its actually a fun game too!

$20 for a working Superman game is a smokin deal....hell I know I pumped more than $20 in quarters into that game at the bowling alley in Chilliwack.

Well with a couple screws and a little glue, its all one piece again.

I cant figure out what kind of cabinet it is though. Its definitely a conversion, no doubt. Its a 19" monitor (a beautiful WG monitor too!) and it has a red CP underneath the superman CPO. And yes, that is masking tape holding the leaf switch on :p

Is this a Taito cab?

I think it's a Dynamo pull-out drawer. No? Maybe early Data East like Karnov?

The drawer pulls out when you unlatch the control panel. The drawer and the control panel are attached to eachother. The serial lag has been removed, leaving a "VOID" imprint.

Re:

I have pumped a lot of quarters into that machine back in the day. Good luck on the project:)

I played one at 7-11 back in the day. They had another game but I can't remember what it was. I only played Superman. It was great back then. I've played it in MAME since but doesn't seem to have the same charm as it did then. Still for $20 or even $60, I would snap it up in a second.
