Ok, sometimes I'm just lazy. I openly admit it, so it must be ok, right? Anyway I have a Primal Rage that I'd really like to play, but the monitor apparently has other plans. Following absolutely none of the basic protocol of initial monitor troubleshooting as laid out by such legendary techs as Randy Fromm, Ken Layton, Dokert, and Buffett, I instead decided to just recap the thing and swap the flyback, HOT, and VR. Guess what? I still got nuthin. Has anyone out there experienced this with this same monitor? I'm open to any ideas at this point. Thanks in advance!
Update: problem was a dead IC101 (TDA7605 (NTE7154)) on the main board. $6.87 from Wholesale Electronics in Mitchell, SD. Be sure to grab an 8-pin socket for this IC too.
