Hello All,
I finally grabbed my Mario WB. I am very excited to get it up and running.
Game plays, missing all sounds except walk and skid.
I checked 6K - passes Romident.
I swapped in 2-3 other 58715s, no change.
I have it on my JAMMA bench, my two other MB boardsets work perfectly with JAMMA adapter, so there is no Sanyo audio amp in the mix here, tied straight to board.
I used Logic Probe on 58715 and have the following pins reading dead (compared to working boardset, this is not normal):
8-19, 25,36 and 38.
I was hoping someone could help me walk backward through the schematic to start checking what is supposed to be feeding that. I can read blueprints like nobody's business, but am still working on how to read schematics.
Any help is appreciated.
Also note, I have NOT swapped the socket, it is original, looks clean and the chip seems to seat well. I have NOT toned out the backside of the socket for continuity either.
