Hi Gang,

I assume I have this wired incorrectly - I have the speaker wired up as in the picture, but have no sound. I've tried multiple known working PCBS, but can't hear anything. Is there something I missed?

what pcb? does it require an external amp? if not check your +12v and -5v with a meter

the speaker wired up as in the picture, but have no sound

double check the wires on the speaker
maybe one isn't tight is all I got for you except to try a different speaker
maybe there's a break in the wire under the the insulation ??? which means to try a new wire if you don't know how to check for continuity with a multimeter

Some require that only + be connected, and negative not be connected. I believe it was Ken Layton that I had seen said this before, and I found it to be true when pumping audio from my homemade test rig into an LCD monitor with onboard audio, but not true for any other audio output device I've used on the rig.

I found the issue by checking the voltages on the switcher, there was no +12v. Swapped the switcher and now I have sound. Funny how something as simple as that caused the problem.

Thank you to everyone who responded :)
