My newly acquired Space Invaders Trimline has a vertical collapse. I ordered a cap kit since they look old and crusty. I'm trying to find the schematics for it. I see a few responses to schematic requesta but none that I have that are correct. Can anyone provide a real 5080 schematic or show me where the vertical IC is located?

Is there no one that is familiar with this chassis? I sure am not.

and Major components IC's used on the board
or a cap list. Or flyback number on part

Can U find the Green and yellow wire on the yoke two pin connector
to the Board 2 pin male connector and on the top of the BD
go to the bottom of the board
follow the 2 trace to the IC.

Maybe under the U shaped heat sink.
check the number on it and see if its a vertical ic and confirm
you have the VCC or supply pin on the Ic from the datasheet pinout.

Thank you for the reply, I am so not familiar with this chassis. I do see the green and yellow going into the main chassis. Are the green and yellow wires in the separate daughter board related?

photo 4825

shows the green and yellow wires hooked to the 2 pin
on the left side of chassis coming from the yoke!!

Flip the chassis over and follow the 2 traces to the vertical circuit.

I also mention the U shape heat sink as possibly the vertical Ic?
Green and Yellow are for the vertical deflection circuit only!

Here's another photo clearer to see the Board!

I will be pulling the chassis this evening, my cap kit came in so I will be taking a closer look then. Thank you for your help

I appreciate your assistance on this. When I was recapping it earlier this evening, I accidentally noticed something broken on the chassis. Here it is pictured. Also after repairing that and recapping the board, I have a beautiful picture. The cabinet is badly water damaged. At least it works.

What is the model number of the monitor? I can't find anything on it. And I need a Cap Kit. HELp
the title lists the model of the chassis Hitachi K14c - 5080 so if you have the same thing then the best cap kit and filter cap is here but you will have to list the filter cap value as i haven't come across it yet.

What was the part in the tubing?

I'm glad you fixed it, but inquiring minds want to know.
