That right there is good stuff! Thanks for posting . I knew they didn't make any uprights , but wasn't sure about cocktails. Do you know if there were any dedicated cocktails ? Or were they all conversions? How would I tell which this is?

1. This is cool AF
2. If they ever allowed a cocktail cabinet to go into a prison cell, I feel like this is how they would build it. Looks nuclear bomb proof on build.

This is amazing. I've been interested in this game for a while after stumbling across the NES version. Up until now, I didn't think even the kits were sold in the USA as everything about the game online seemed to be in Japanese. I do think this cocktail started it's life as a different game, note the button cover on the control panel covering up a third button. Maybe something else in the Tekhan/Tecmo family? (https://www.arcade-museum.com/pinouts-class/Tehkan). Regardless, super cool piece and looks very legit. Wish you were closer.

I stand corrected, I just looked through the Tehkan games in that conversion class and none of them have 3 buttons. The joystick also looks like an 8-way, which is correct for Solomon's Key

This is an extremely rare Tehkan/Tecmo Lava cocktail and this is likely dedicated. The original Japanese panels all come with the third button stamped out at the botom. The top half with the graphic is simply a thin sheet of aluminum. It's likely that it was converted to a 3-button title at some point using the existing hole at the bottom panel and then reverted back. These panels also made their way into the US via the pinball Action kits. Later North American Pinball Action kits used a slightly different Lava panel. The first generation panels shipped to the US were literally just lava panels with a mounting bracket and a thick 14 gauge steel top.

must resist....

you need to buy this by all means necessary and be quick about it beating everyone else to the punch, including @DeLuSioNaL29 !!!

...also why isn't that minty $2500 atari warlords cocktail not sold yet? i'd purchase that instantly!

If I did grab it, I'd do it for the greater good. I'm in talks. Also, in talks with my buddy @SCUBA King as well, who was asking me about it.

Glad to see there is some interest in this thing. It was offered to me right away due to my Solomon's Key thread, but I just don't have the money, the means or the room for it at this point. Would love to see this preserved and documented. I would also love to someday see a full Solomon's Key art package for upright or cabaret cabinets. I wonder if old @brotherhay is still out there. He was looking for an art package for this game nearly 20 years ago.
