So my wife just got a Solitaire Challenge II by Dynamo. The CMOS battery was dead so I replaced it. I reset the bios settings but now it says drive a not ready press any key to continue. When I opened the front I see it is missing the a drive and the hard drive. Does anyone know if this game came with a hard drive and and A drive and if so does anyone have an image file they could send me so I can make one and get this going for her? This is her first game and she wanted it very much. I would love to get it working for her.

It would make her year if I could get this going. Thanks.

You dont need the a drive, and should probably change the bios so its not looking there anymore. I used to own one of these and my wife really enjoyed it as well. I remember it had a PC mother board in there, but for some reason I do not think that it had a hard drive in it. Maybe it had some big blocky thing on a card or something that had no moving parts, like a big rom board. But hell, that was some years ago. take a picture of what you have and these guros in here will let you know.

I have discovered it is not suppose to have a hard drive or a drive. I am pretty sure I set the bios right as I followed the service bulletin attached. I also attached pictures of my setup. This is a Solitaire Challenge II.

Got it working. The Dallas chip on the prom board was shifted 1 whole set up pins up. I moved it down and it booted right up.

If you want a spare computer, I may still have one floating around.
