I have a 1971 Willams Solids N' Stripes pin that goes right to ball 2 when it the ball is launched on to the playfeild from the out hole. It started doing it out of the blue one day, prior to that it was working 100%. I am also looking for a wiring schematic for this machine so if any one has one or know where to get one that would be great. Any help would be great thanks.

Like Dean said the ball count unit is probably sticking. It's not returning to the home /ball 1 position. Could be the spring and you could wind it one more turn to add tension, only problem when you do that it makes it harder for the coil to kick it up to the next ball. Probably just gummed up.Best thing to do is take it apart and clean it.

It starts out on ball 1 in the outhole and when it goes into the launch ramp it then jumps to ball 2 and plays fine all the way to ball 5.

You need to look at the position of the ball count unit then start a game and activate the outhole switch manually and see what the ball count unit is doing.
