Solderers, i have some questions (jamma adapter q's)

I'm building a jamma adapter for a game and I bought the JB-3 fingerboard adapter found here: http://www.jammaboards.com/store/jb-3-jamma-fingerboard-adapter-jb-3.html

My question is this. Should there be continuity between these pins? (forgive my amateur soldering job)

Ive added colored spots to show where I get a 'short' using my multimeter. Bear with me, I'm a soldering n00b, so I'm trying to make sure I'm not going to blow up my cab when I try to plug anything into this. I know that the first two pins (1 and 2) are ground, and that pins 3 and 4 are +5v. Now I know this might be a dumb question, but I just want to make sure... should there be continuity for Pin 1 on Pins 1 and 2, continuity for Pin 2 on Pins 1 and 2, continuity for Pin 3 on 3 and 4, and continuity for pin 4 on pins 3 and 4?

Yes that's all fine, the finger board ties the pairs together, you can see the fat tracks joining them in the foreground.

Awesome. Thanks Womble. When I was checking for continuity (and didnt expect it) I figured I did something wrong!
