Just a heads up, it appears that the OP's account has possibly been hacked/spoofed and/or compromised.

Someone with the same handle reached out to me, asking if I wanted to buy this, but the join date, messages and reaction score don't line up. The account was created today.

Googling the phone number listed also comes up with other sketchy scam exchanges.

Here's one from https://www.snipershide.com/shootin...redr-1-5-6x-with-7-62-reticle-in-fde.7259269/

Same language and a similar situation where a duplicate/spoofed account was created.

Admins, everyone here and especially the OP, please beware!

Yeah, so fun fact: I bought this back on 10/30 as a birthday present for @jimbodeanny (Surprise! LOL!). Thus, I was rather flummoxed when Jim said that the seller reached out to him today and offered to sell it to him. That person gave Jim a different PayPay and phone number than I was given when I bought it a couple of week ago. If anyone else "bought" this, it would be great to know. My communication with the OP has been pretty normal, other than him not marking this as sold, so I'm assuming that the person I've been messaging is legit and someone has hacked into his account. (It hasn't shipped yet, but the seller's communication about this hasn't raised any red flags.)

Another update:

I was trying to figure out how this scammer could create a new handle that was identical. Turns out, it's not.

I copied and pasted both handles into Notepad.

The original handle is 'wonderwallroads" with two lower case "L" letters.
The scammer/spoofer used two upper case "i" letters.

See below.

He did the same thing in the other forum I linked to in my previous post.

Maybe KLOV should change their default font/text format?

EDIT: Looks like our scammer is currently viewing this thread. I wonder why.

The letter L in wonderwall on the second account are capital letter i's. Its not the same account but a Nigerian scamming piece of shit.

We've previously prevented people from spoofing accounts by changes in punctuation in a username and a few other things, but not this. It's on the schedule tomorrow to update the systems to not allow someone to register a new username that is too confusing similar to a new one with these letter combinations: "i" (eye) vs "1" (one) vs "l" (elle), and "0" (zero) vs "O" (oh).

It's an endless battle. We killed another scammer account today that also (like this user) made the PayPal donation, except the other account wasn't trying to misspell an existing one so was even sneakier.

Two years ago scammer accounts were pretty rare. Now since they have embraced bots to help them sign up, we delete between 5,000 and 10,000 of them a year before they even get to post on the forums.

We are looking at other things things to discourage trouble, but it's an endless battle. I bet AI isn't going to make the battle easier.
