So I don't usually make threads for every game that I pickup and fix up, but this one isn't really too common, but it is a cool game. Early MCR game, GORF trigger stick, gameplay is fun. Not sure why it was not popular, maybe the simplistic graphics?

Picked it up for a great price, non working. Fixed the power supply, did some rewiring, cleaned it up, replaced bulbs, and I have a working game.

Great art on this game...

I think she is the "Solar Fox" as in "foxy lady".

Grrrrrrr

Super cool multi dimensional black light and half silvered mirror effects.

It had a lock bar and some ugly bracing, when I removed all that, well you can see what it was hiding. What a strange way to break into a game. It looks as if someone had their dog chew through the wood.

I have since cut and patched the offending piece, doing bondo work right now. I will try to color match the paint, so as not to try and mask off the foxes and script.

I have the Cocktail version, fun game. The art work on the Standup version is very nice. Congrats,

Foxy! I think Solar Fox is an awesome game and the marquee, it is one of the best. Oh, that would look so cool next to my Liberator. This is now on my want list.

Update:
An hour after posting to this thread I get my Solar Fox marquee in the mail. Thanks mjenks!

I saw a cabaret / mini Solar Fox sitting in a gameroom store a few years back. Looked to be in good shape.

Nice machine!

Couple more pics. 5 image rule.....

Apparently, Rich is a big fan of Solar Fox, so one day I think we will have repro CPO's.

Dude. Once again I'm gonna chime in just to say: "That thing is freaking awesome!"

Great score.

Anyone remember the SNES game "Starfox"? Makes me wonder if they were playing off of this game's art style for the overall look of the game, arts, and such.

Nice pickup. I had one when I lived in Cleveland and loved it. The cab is one of my favorites and the artwork is awesome.

I found out that my WWF SuperStars was one of these.

I would love too retore it back but i guess thats a really hard thing too do with this game.

First time I have ever seen a Solar Fox cab...wow! Never played it in the arcades, but played the hell out of the Atari 2600 version.Played the arcade version on MAME not long ago..still a fun game.

Hey Joe. I'm planning to go to CAX again. I've been doing a lot of work on the games I have now (technical skills are improving :)), and the game count is going up. Picking up a game tomorrow in fact. Pics are fairly up to date on arcade crusade (see my sig). Nothing too fancy yet besides the games themselves though. Got heat and ac installed recently and am getting black light carpet samples. How bout you? Any new killer games lately? How's the Wild Kingdom doing?

(Sorry for the hijack, Jordan)

Glad to hear things are going well. A few things new on my end EDOT and another Space Ace to add to the laser collection, havnt worked on WK waiting for the springtime to get it outside, trying to finish up Begas Battle for CAX and just working on small indor projects. Built a nice MAME machine. Sorry for the Hijack, I really do lover solar fox.

Also trying to sell a shopped Monopoly and Star Wars episode one pinball if u know anybody.

Heres an update on this one guys. The Fox has not just been sitting with that gaping hole in the frontside. I patched and matched her up and she is looking pretty good now.

Here is a reminder pic of what it used to look like...

I also had to swap out the middle board to get her to make some noise. Next up the monitor started having a hold problem, but a cap kit fixed that.

Playing solid, so I am just doing some touch ups before final assembly now.

Makes me think about a Midway trigger stick row. it could be pretty big. TRON, Discs of TRON, GORF, Satans Hollow, Solar Fox. Kozmik Krooz'r, Crater Raider
