Hi all,

I recently purchased a GH, but it did not come with a software restore disc. So I ordered one from Betson. The game 'used to have' software 1.42. I was recommended to upgrade the software before routing it, but after I put the install disc in, and powered up the game, it started the initial unpack of the files, then the CPU just turns off. I called betson, and they said my current Geforce 9 video card series isn't compatible with the 1.56 software. So now my game will no longer boot, and I can't install the old 1.42 as I don't have it. They are going to send me the 1.42 version though.

They recommend I upgrade the video card. Has anyone done this, and which did they use?
Thank you!

What video card are you using ? 1.56 was the last version they released and
I would think all the cards would be included in the most recent version.

yes, you can buy one on ebay for 30$

These are the cards supported in 1.56:

There are 3 different NVidia driver packages on the CD, these are
the NV4_DISP.INF files from all of them.

I picked up an NVIDIA GeForce GT 610 for my GH and it worked perfectly. You will want to reinstall once you have the new video card installed. also good time to replace the CMOS Battery and make sure the bios settings are correct for boot last state. Also get yourself a 200gb SSD (they are like 20$)

Just the one song ? DIP Switch 1 on the IO board needs to be turned off
then you can disable 1 or more songs.
it's the default song and it can't be disabled.

the clientele in this territory are completely oblivious to how to choose their own songs on Guitar Hero, DDR Extreme, Jubeat, and the jukebox. so my ears are psychologically abused with the same music over and over daily.

Gotcha. Sort of like when my ears start bleeding from hearing the same
song over and over with DDR Supernova 2.

I'm by it right now listening to Slow Ride for the 800th time because they don't know you can pick different songs. they're also terrible at playing it which is kind of better cause half the music is muted.
