Wasn't sure if I should post this here or in the Technical section (so I apologize if I'm in the wrong area). Was just curious if anyone in Southern Cali has ever contacted this guy listed on this site for any type of repair type stuff (boards, monitors, wiring issues, etc...). Any feedback would be appreciated (in the Thread or PM) on whether I should give him a call. I see him advertising on their a lot.

Thanks in advance

Never heard of him. Depending on the brand of monitors he sells, his prices are not marked up horribly. He must be located in riverside or san bernadino from his area code. Also, he doesn't list an hourly rate for work.

I have not heard of him but Its worth a try maybe on something small first or a meet and greet to see how you feel then. I say its worth a shot because good fix it ppl are getting harder and harder to find...Good luck, and if you do and he is good plz post for the rest of the socal folks....

I talked to him a few mos back. His 19in monitors had me interested. But when I called, it was 'bait and switch' he had no CRT's and instead tried to get me to buy LCD (which I had no interest in). When I asked him when he would have any more crt's, he told me he had no idea- they were 'extremely rare'. lol- so now, I fix my own.

So I sent the link to my friend because I've been unavailable to get over to his place and help him out with setting up his system and wiring it. He called him and had an appointment yesterday for him to come out to his place.

He says the guy came out, wired up his cabinet quickly, made it look very nice, mounted his monitor and setup his machine without any issues and was pretty friendly. My friend has had an issue with a Monitor, and the guy seemed to be very familiar with the model. The guy ended up explaining the issue, and said he would work with him to get it fixed if he wanted for no extra charge if he couldn't get the issue resolved on his own. So that seemed pretty cool.

Now my friend did question him about the 19" monitors and the guy replied that what he posted on craigslist was basically something he copy's and paste or just repost all the time. He did however mention that he has 15-17 19" monitors that just came in over the weekend so anyone asking about it could call him now. I asked my friend if he followed up the question on whether they were LCD or CRT, but he didn't ask.

So while I didn't use him, my friend ended up using him and he felt comfortable with him. Hope that helps.
