SoCal gaming Saturday July 23rd 2011

Thanks man... I appreciate it, but itd be better served going to someone else that has the game or had future plans for one.. I'd have no idea what to do with it, lol...Now if he only had some Star Castle stuff, heh.

Tom

Star castle Stuff I have a used Marguee and a used CP.

Hey Tom, I like to bring a friend name of Don with me if you don't mind.

Doh! My wife just informed me her friend is borrowing the Webers for a party their hosting tomorrow...grrrr! That means no BBQ! It'll either be pizza or fried hotlinks or we can hit the thai place across the street.

I may have forgotten to include my number along with the address in my pms. If anyone needs to get ahold of me, my cel is: 714-588-4247.

Any people wanting to join us at the last minute and needing directions, please give me a ring at this number, as I prolly won't be checking KLOV after around 2pm today.

Thanks to the following people that made it out:

Stuffmonger & Crystal
Paul Dean and friend
Alphatron
Xray2
EndOfLine
PacAnt
VectorInvadr
DewmanSNK

I'm sooo tired. My wife gave me the greenlight to extend the hours until 2AM which was cool :D That wasn't what wiped me out... The $@&%-ing neighbors across the street had their obnoxiously loud party going until 6AM! grrr

Here are a few pix I managed to snap early on. I wish I had remembered to take more, mebbe someone else managed to do so.

Had a blast hanging with everyone. Glad Vectorinvadr managed to somehow monster up after his workshift and cruise over. Was very cool getting interviewed, even though I know I prolly end up getting transposed to be background filler for Paul Dean's interview, heh.

Was fascinating watching and listening EndofLine interview Paul... followed up by Paul providing a Frenzy tutorial for the camera.. That was epic. However I was most impressed by Paul's Frontline skills, which he had claimed to be "modest". He managed to make that slow bowlegged soldier look like a US Navy Seal! Paul is a 1 man killing machine and posted a score of 18,500 or something like that. I couldn't keep up. Its really too bad Kalan couldn't stay long enough to play a round of Frontline with Paul.

Thanks to Alpha-tron for bringing several pieces of NOS cinematronics artwork to let us see it. Seeing 30 year old rare arcade artwork as its being unrolled in person was pretty amazing :)

Thanks to Stuffmonger for tying up some loose arcade ends for me, again :)

Was awesome seeing DewmanSNK's geometrically improving Zeke's Peak skills... He made it thru 3 loops of the game and made it look easy! (which we all know, its not)

Another highlight of the evening for me was watching PacAnt play thru some games of Afterburner Deluxe... That was awesome :)

I'm kind of afraid to power up QBert for fear of seeing whether EndofLine's monster high score was saved or cleared. I heard he made it to world 7-2, wish I could have witnessed it :D

We'll have to do this again soon! Thinking early to mid August!
