So You Want to Add Fix It Felix to An Original Nintendo Cabinet...

I don't ever remember having to import a certificate but I've only set this up a couple times and always on Win10 (not sure if that makes a difference).

I wish I could tell you what to do but we're venturing beyond my knowledge here!

You could post in the GroovyMame thread on BYOAc: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/board,52.0.html
Calamity himself often chimes in and there are lots of crtemudriver users there. Or maybe someone else here knows?

I'll post over there and see if I can get some help to figure this out. Disappointing as I've gotten this far with this project.

I swear this thing is fighting me every step of the way. Lol

You know what they say, if it was easy everyone would do it!

Ok @meyer980 I'm back on this project again. Trying to set up the CRTEmulation software and I'm hitting a snagg. Seems I can't get past the certificate part. Still getting an error after I import then certificate?

Any ideas?

Are you in driver test mode? Make sure the test mode watermark is at the bottom right of your windows desktop. You can force your system into test mode and then try installing the driver.

Don't say i didn't warn you.

The setup did ask about allowing that and I do remember seeing that at the bottom right. Maybe I'll try to force it into to

Understand, this is a modified driver. All drivers from Vista onward required a valid certificate from Microsoft ensuring that all drivers work as intended. the later stage of this certification is called (Windows hardware Quality Lab) WHQL Certification.

These are modified drivers which mean the original cert is essentially broken. What you are doing is basically forcing your OS into ignoring the original cert and using a test cert.

If the driver prompt no longer asks you to enter test mode, you can forcibly enter test mode using this guide.

Ok got it. Thanks so much for the help and explanation. :)

is there a way to play this game on Arcade SD setup ?

Or jamma

how bout a Mister Setup ?
This is a very late reply but for completeness: The answer to this is no.

The authentic, Disney made, version of the software is a Windows program. So you need a PC or something that can emulate Windows programs (like Wine on a pi). MISTER is pretty much designed for reproducing video game consoles or arcade machines.

There are non-authentic versions of the game made for Genesis, NES, etc. Those WOULD run a MISTER. But they aren't the arcade game.
