It can scrape artwork and names and such for games it knows...but there's no way it'll be able to find art for fix it Felix haha.
You'll probably have to manually create your own screenshots and such.

Yeah for all the of PC games I had to create my own. For the MAME games it was able to pull them from the Internet.

So how does one do that? lol

Screen shots? Save to jepg?
Yep, just save screenshots or use whatever picture you want really. It needs to have the same name as the game, that's how it knows to match them.

Hey @DonPanetta sorry I just saw this reply. Lol.

At this point I think I'm real close to getting attract-mode up and running thanks to @meyer980 and some peeps over at tye AM forums.

If I can't figure this out then I'll turn you lose on a hyperspin set up.

Thanks again for all your help.

Ok so thanks to @meyer980 for helping me with the art I was able to get the attrack-mode frontend working and looking good. Also set the loader to boot straight into FiFJ and all you have to do is hit escape to bring up the menu. I'll have to map that key to a button(s) later. Also set the BIOS option to boot on power up meaning as soon as the AC power is applied the pc boots. With the SSD it takes about 20secs for the pc to boot and the attrack-mode to launch the first game. Not bad.

Just waiting for the J Pac to arrive and then I can install everything and see if I can get this set up to talk nicely to my 20ez monitor. I'm going to remove the pc pcb and other parts and make a small mounting board so I can fit everything into the DK without taking up too much space.

That could work. I've never personally used a device like that but in theory it has what you need. You have to be smart in shutting the pc down though - just killing the power isn't good for it and might affect startup. So still shut down through the front end.

Many PCs have a setting in their bios to enable bootup on power detection so as soon as they're plugged in it boots. You might wanna look for that.

Yeah I've already the boot up on power detection setting. Just trying to avoid have the PC run all the time with the cab on. Only want it running when the switcher switches to the fourth slot. I thought about the original set up and they just had the PC do a hard power off with the cab so I dont think that should hurt anything.

I've got the CRTEmudriver downloaded as well as the SwitchRes.

Just waiting on the J-Pac to show up to move this project along. Might need your help walking me through that part as well. Should I use a Jamma harness or just make one? What's your recommendations?

Thx

I used a jamma harness myself but you could always make one if the full harness is overkill. I dislike wire crimping so went the easy route myself.

As far as CRTemudriver, I am NOT an expert. I've only set it up twice and it's sort of tricky. I recommend following the instructions closely and thankfully there is an entire sub-forum for it on BYOAC with people much more knowledgeable than I. I'll help if I can of course!

Got the PC parts all mounted to a single metal plate I salvaged from the original case. Turned out good I think.

Just got the J Pac part in as well.

Recieved this cool piece of tech. It's a DC controlled AC outlet. This will allow me to have the PC FiF board only run when the VetorLabs switcher switches to the 4th slot. So preventing this board from all time when not is use and building heat in the cab.

Worked great on my test bench when +5v is applied you can here the relay and the outlet get 110v AC.

That'll be nice. It's sure going to be quite the setup when you're all done in there!

Ok @meyer980 I'm back on this project again. Trying to set up the CRTEmulation software and I'm hitting a snagg. Seems I can't get past the certificate part. Still getting an error after I import then certificate?

Any ideas?

Oh, hmmm, I don't remember doing anything special for the certificate stuff. I remember having to add Calamity as a trusted source but don't remember actually opening certificates. I followed this post from this thread: https://geedorah.com/eiusdemmodi/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=1052#p1052

(the pictures don't load but if you copy/paste the url into a browser they still work).

Did you enable testsigning? I think that's necessary to install his special drivers and such.

I did enable it but is still not letting me finish the install.....

I double click on the certificate and it says the import was successful...
