So, who needs "BLACK" offset Nintendo Molding?

Ok, this project is holding up the offset white molding project. I really need to get a sample in order to verify the finish of the product. It's black which isn't a problem. But right now I plan on doing it satin black and really need to send a sample to the manufacture to verify that they choose the best finish possible.

If someone can send me out a sample as soon as today let me know via PM.
 
Ok guys... Just posted this on the "WHITE" offset molding thread. Let me know if you agree with these measurements... Also, in order to just "move forward"... If these measurements are correct I could just have them do satin black and call it a day. I'm 99% sure satin black is what you guys need right?

Ok, guys... Seriously, are you guys "110%" sure your need for black t-molding is for "OFFSET"? I'm only asking because I now have a couple of black samples which ARE NOT offset!!! Maybe not 100% centered but still not enough to justify the need for offset.
 
I really am concerned you "offset" black molding guys haven't given me any "exact" measurements or any samples that match my white offset molding samples. In fact, the two black molding samples I've received I'm pretty sure they ARE NOT offset!!!

The fact is that I don't need black offset molding for myself and I do not have access to any cabinets that need it locally. So, you guys really need to verify these measurements to verify that the slot 100% the same as below. If I can't get final feed back I may have to put the black molding "on hold" until we verify the white offset molding will fit.

Unfortunately, if we put the black molding on hold this will most likely effect the pricing unless we hold off until we do another run of True-Flat (to keep shipping costs at a minimum).

I re-checked my measurements. That is what I am stuck with.

Hopefully enough of the old posters will chime in and confirm they are in.
 
I'm kinda coming to this thread late. Is the ordering of molding pretty much not happening for black? Mine is falling off of my play choice 10 dual monitor cab and I really could stand to replace it. Is there anything I can do to help? I guess the white molding wouldn't look awful if I had to use that instead. Just let me know. I'm in for 20 of black if it's happening or white if black is not and I can slice some of mine off to send in if it's not too late. I can take pictures of it too. I'm guessing its original. It's got texture lines in it which all of the other cabs I have do not.

It's on hold as this minute. The mold will be made so it's as simple as placing the order. The reason this is on hold is because of the three samples I got (from R-Type owners) were not the same and I'm pretty sure it was not offset molding. So, that leaves Dual Monitor Vs. cabinets, Gray dedicated Vs. and PlayChoice / Punch Outs (that aren't plywood).

It's not that it won't happen. Just need to 100% verify that it's exactly the same profile as the offset white and there is enough interest.
 
At this point I'd just like molding on my cabinet as one side doesn't really have any. Perhaps I should go ahead and just order some generic offset from somewhere and make it work
 
Im pretty sure my playchoice is not offset. I will attempt to get some measurements today and let you know for sure.

Edit: it is offset!

At this time it's most likely not going to happen. Tooling is available but interest just isn't there right now. In fact, the white offset molding sales are less than desirable and probably should of just ordered more 15mm molding.

Guess it would be a time to start getting a firm list then if there is enough interest we can do preorders.

This would take less less than a month to manufacture after we confirm that the dimensions are 100% the same as the white offset. If they are not new tooling would need to be made.

If someone wants this to happen and fund the run let me know.

I really, really want to see this happen. I have two upright dual systems that I am dragging my feet on restoring because I need the Tmolding. I am sure there are several other upright owners who would want it, plus the other cabinet owners.

I am willing to buy whatever quantity you need to help get this done. I can send another sample your way too. My measurements from earlier in the thread still show as accurate on my side.

I am sure I will need to buy 4 sets to cover the two dualsystems.

Ok Guys... I could of swore that the sample black that I got was slightly different. PM me your addresses and I'll send out a small sample of offset white. If it fits correctly it's just as simple as placing the order. If it isn't... Well... Tooling will need to be made.
