So, who needs "BLACK" offset Nintendo Molding?

Seeing it appears that the Nintendo Offset molding will be happening it is feasible to do 1000 feet of black offset. "However" I need to know how many people would be in for 20' for around $22.50 + shipping....

If enough people are interested I'd need a sample to verify the finish and verify that it is 100% the same as white offset.

Bill

This is who I believe needs it for sure...

thefader - 20 feet
Phetishboy - 20 feet
Sectorseven - 20 feet
Superully - 20 feet
sohchx - 20 feet
Superully - 20 feet
Mike29 - 60 feet
zutton1 - 20 feet
Van - 40 feet
Rory - 20 feet
chandonh - 20 feet
20eyes - 20 feet
AlkalineJay - 20 feet

Its metal, doesn't have molding. Also, I bought Phets R type. I will be interested in getting this molding. Thanks!

It seems like the offset cabinets have a t-molding groove that goes all the way to the bottom back of the machine as opposed to the center cuts that stop maybe 7 inches or so from the front. Will the offset rolls include extra material to go all the way to the back, or will we have to cut it short to match the plywood cabinets? Not a big deal either way, but I was just wondering.

It's a t-molding thing, you wouldn't understand.

Nice to see the offset molding becoming a reality. Whoever chose to use offset t-molding back in the 80s in Japan should be strung up.

Seeing you don't need it for the control panel 20' would probably be enough. However, you guys need to let me know how much you need for one cabinet seeing I do not have a r-type.

which games used black offset t-molding? t-type? what else?

it can't hurt to place an order just in case you're going to need it later ...

R-type is all I know of but not sure myself. I really need good numbers based on the proposed price because I don't want to be sitting on offset black molding for 20 years! :)

I am in for 60ft Black. That should cover me on two seperate dual system upright cabs.

Thank you for doing this! Very cool.

Wow, only 180 feet huh? Is this only used on R-Type's?

I know of one R-Type locally and unfortunately it IS NOT offset molding... Just 5/8" with a centered slot. Can you guys verify the dimensions on the R-Type cabinets to make sure the BLACK offset molding is EXACTLY the same as the WHITE offset molding.

Here are the dimensions I got from a local colors DK cabinet with offset white molding.

I re-measured my VS. cabinet. This is correct. All cabinets made for Nintendo VS. (not older conversions) would use this BLACK t-molding. These would be grey uprights both made as single unisystem cabinets or the double dualsystem cabinets.
